Crawford Diamond is a sustainability-focused industrial park in Nassau County, Fla., to be powered by 74.5 MW of FPL universal solar generation. This certified megasite is owned by Florida Power & Light Company, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy,Inc., a Fortune 200 company and the world's largest generator of renewable energy from the wind and sun and a world leader in battery storage.
The Crawford Diamond Industrial Park is located on 1,800 acres in Northeast Florida, offering 500 acres for industrial use and 1,300 acres currently designated for FPL solar generation. Located along US 301 in Nassau County, the site is less than 20 miles from downtown Jacksonville, major roadways including I-95 and I-10, and Jacksonville International Airport. CSX and Norfolk Southern have a combined 10,000 feet of rail frontage along the site. Crawford Diamond is also located within a Foreign Trade Zone with access to four deep-water port terminals.
Situated in the country’s sixth-fastest growing region with a population of 1.6 million in the Jacksonville metropolitan statistical area, the Crawford Diamond site offers access to more than 700,000 workers within a 45-minute commute. In addition, Nassau County offers a cost-competitive industrial location and a highly desirable place to live that makes it easy to attract talent.
