The property is within a Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) and a Tax Increment Financing District (TIF). This means that Lucas County will assess and assign a value to the components of the facility improvements that are considered as "real property" and not specific to the manufacturing operation. This value will be multiplied by 35% then multiplied by the tax rate for Overland (currently at 95.390045) and divided by 1000. The value is calculated every year. For the first fifteen years, you will receive 50% abatement on the value and make payments in lieu of taxes equal to 25% of the value to Toledo Public Schools and 25% of the value to the Tax Increment Financing District. The TIF District will use the funds collected from all the companies in the TIF to make improvements to the areas in and around the Industrial park. In years 16-30, the tax abatement component expires and the payments based on the value are split equally between the school district and the TIF district.
